The Boat
You will find yourself fishing out of one of the best bay boats on the market, the Ranger 2400 Bay. At 24 feet in length the boat is not only capable of chasing tarpon offshore, but running in just over a foot of water in the backcountry. Equipped with a hydraulic jack plate, power pole, and a bow mount trolling motor this boat makes fishing the flats a breeze, and with 3 live wells, your bait is sure to remain lively and fresh.

The Tackle
Primary spinning tackle for inshore & tarpon are Quantum spinning reels shared with Shimano & G-Loomis rods. When needing conventional tackle for tarpon or offshore use, I turn towards the Shimano Torium mated with star rods. Paired with good technique, one will be able to destroy the will of even the largest tarpon, snook, or redfish!
